As a Growling Beaver event day volunteer, you will help raise awareness about Parkinson's in your community while having fun doing it! As a Hospitality Volunteer, you will help create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for participants, volunteers, and guests throughout the event. From assisting with refreshments to ensuring the hospitality area remains stocked, organized, and inviting, you will play an important role in helping everyone feel supported and appreciated during their Growling Beaver experience. 

We are looking for volunteers to support our food station activation. 

As a Hospitality Volunteer, you will help ensure participants, volunteers, and guests have access to food and refreshments throughout the event.

Responsibilities may include: 

  • Assisting with food station set up and tear down
  • Serving food and snacks to participants and guests
  • Monitoring supplies and restocking items as needed
  • Keeping the food station clean, organized, and welcoming
  • Following food handling and safety procedures provided by event staff
  • Providing friendly assistance and answering basic event questions 

After you sign up, a Parkinson Canada Event Coordinator will be in touch with you to provide additional details about your volunteer shift. Together, let's make a difference in the lives of people living with Parkinson's!

As a Growling Beaver event day volunteer, you will help raise awareness about Parkinson's in your community while having fun doing it! Event day volunteers provide support in a variety of ways. By helping with pre-event set up and registration on Friday, cheering on riders as they complete the route, supporting participant registration, helping with set up, and everything in between, volunteers are an important component of a successful event.

Age Requirement 
Volunteers must be at least 12 years old to volunteer without a parent or guardian for this event. If an adult would like to register a youth aged 11 or younger to volunteer with them, please connect with Volunteer Engagement at volunteer@parkinson.ca for assistance.
