Children's Treatment Network of Simcoe York
Board and committee meetings typically take place in York Region and/or Simcoe County.
As a member of our Board of Directors you can expect to volunteer approximately 8-10 hours a month, share your leadership, expertise and governance experience at the board level and sit on one of our committees (Audit and Finance or Governance or Quality). As a community member on one of our committees you can expect to volunteer approximately 4 hours a month and share your expertise and build your governance experience. Board and committee meetings typically take place in York Region and/or Simcoe County.  
 
It is important that CTN’s board and board committees reflect the diversity of communities we serve. Lived experience as a person with a disability or family member of someone with disability or developmental needs is highly valued in this role. We are also looking for individuals with professional experience in any of the following areas: Health/Social Services, Finance and Change Management skills. Applicants need to have a strong commitment to CTN’s vision of building brighter futures together.
Birchmere Retirement Residence
Orillia
Duties include: 
* Attending activities, programs, and/or events with residents 
* One-on-one visits with residents; spending time chatting, doing puzzles, crafts, etc. or accompanying them on walks either within the building or outdoors (weather permitting) 
* other duties as needed
COPE Service Dogs
Barrie
Purpose of the Position: Join the team to change the lives of people with disabilities and youth who are experiencing challenges by providing a loving home and obedience training to a Service Dog-in-training during its puppyhood. 
 
Responsibilities and Duties: 
 
- Care for the dog’s needs according to guidelines from COPE. 
- Provide consistent structure, rules and boundaries to the dog according to training from COPE. 
- Provide obedience training and socialization to the dog. 
- Transport the dog to and from its training programs: Canines in the Classroom (Innisfil) & Refinement Training (Barrie) Mon, Wed, Fri during regular school year (September - Jan 2020). Multiple pick up/drop off locations in Barrie and Innisfil by COPE van is available. 
- Support from Volunteer Puppy Sitter network is available for vacations or emergencies. 
- Dog food, routine veterinary care, one dog crate, walking harness and leash are provided by COPE.
