Description (Service) The blue box recycling program collection day is the same day as regular garbage pick-up.  
Current materials accepted in your Containers Blue Box include: 
* newspapers (and inserts) * fibre egg cartons * glass bottles and jars (wash container, remove lids and recycle them) * all empty food/beverage/paint/aerosol metal cans * plastic containers with a 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 in the recycling symbol triangle usually found on the bottom of the container * clear plastic clamshell packaging * Tetra-Paks, Milk Cartons and Cardboard Cans * aluminum trays and foil * Clear plastic 'clamshell' packaging * Small plastic yogurt containers and fruit cups (used for baked goods and produce) * Coffee cup lids * Plastic plant pots and trays. NOTE: All non-paper goods should be rinsed. 
Current materials accepted in your Paper Fibres Grey/Blue Box include: 
Corrugated cardboard boxes - flatten and tie into bundles, maximum (30" x 30" x 8") * Cereal boxes * Cracker & shoe boxes * Paper egg cartons * Tissue boxes * Toilet paper tubes *  
Towel tubes * Catalogues * Coloured and white paper * Computer paper * Books (remove hard cover) * Magazines * Mail and Envelopes * Newspaper and Inserts 
* Shredded paper - place beside your grey or blue bin in clear plastic bag
