Suggesting Updates to Database Listings

When viewing the full details of a community program, you will see the option to 'Suggest Update' just below the name of the organization and program. Clicking this option will allow a user to submit feedback to Community Connection's team of data curators. Users can also select 'Suggest Record' on top menu bar to suggest a new listing.

Justice Safe beds are located in Barrie

  • 6 Justice Safe Beds are accessible only via police/emergency services 24/7
  • For individuals experiencing a mental health, psychosocial or addiction related crisis and are in conflict with the justice system
  • Non-medical service provided
  • Crisis staff work with admitted clients, providing flexible care and collaborative crisis planning, respite, medication education and supervision, relapse and Crisis prevention and safety planning, coping strategies, housing support, referrals to any ongoing community services as required, and assistance with other goals and needs
  • Clients are expected to be involved in goal-setting and discharge planning with staff support
  • Justice Safe Bed requests are rapidly screened, and admissions are short-term, goal-oriented and solution-focused

  • Age Requirements: 16 yrs and up
  • Youth, Adults who are in conflict with the justice system and are experiencing a mental health, addiction or psychosocial related crisis and are in need of non-medical crisis intervention
  • individuals must be medically stable

  • Referral - police and emergency services only
  • Justice crisis beds are available if required following assessment by CMHA Crisis staff and prioritized due to limited access
