Suggesting Updates to Database Listings

When viewing the full details of a community program, you will see the option to 'Suggest Update' just below the name of the organization and program. Clicking this option will allow a user to submit feedback to Community Connection's team of data curators. Users can also select 'Suggest Record' on top menu bar to suggest a new listing.

Note: If you can't find a listing or would like to see a list of records by agency or category, email 211data@communityconnection.ca.

Description

Description (Service) Housing Resource Centre to assist those looking for permanent housing, services include:
  • assistance applying for Rent Supplement or Housing Allowance
  • assistance with accessing funding for rent related expenses
  • assistance with accessing funding for utility related expenses. Intake provided in some areas
  • assistance with accessing funding for support services needed for individuals with a disability or mental illness who are unable to live independently without care, supervision and/or support
  • landlord/tenant mediation
  • referrals to community resources
  • maintaining a landlord registry
  • maintaining a housing registry of houses, townhouses, apartments, rooms and shared accommodation
  • assistance with applications for subsidized housing which must be forwarded by client
  • assistance with applications for Ontario Electricity Support Program (OESP)
  • Member of the Simcoe County Alliance to End Homelessness

Eligibility
  • Age Requirement: 16 yrs and up
  • Young adults and adults who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, low income or having a special need that affects ability to obtain or maintain adequate affordable housing
  • Rent Supplement or Housing Allowance: for tenant eligibility and unit eligibility click here
