Suggesting Updates to Database Listings

When viewing the full details of a community program, you will see the option to 'Suggest Update' just below the name of the organization and program. Clicking this option will allow a user to submit feedback to Community Connection's team of data curators. Users can also select 'Suggest Record' on top menu bar to suggest a new listing.

Description

Description (Service) Seniors at Play is an initiative to provide seniors in Orillia and surrounding areas with age friendly recreation programs. Seniors at Play programs are hosted in the Orillia Room at Rotary Place (100 University Avenue) and in various outdoor locations in the summer months.

Seniors at Play offers a wide variety of programming tailored towards older adults including:
  • Seniors socials
  • Table games
  • Shuffleboard
  • Carpet bowling
  • Special Events
  • Fitness classes
  • Volunteering
Goals of this program:
  • Preventing senior isolation in our community.
  • Promoting physical activity and social engagement.
  • Providing opportunities to build new relationships and eliminate barriers to participation in recreation activities by creating a safe space.
2023 Seniors at Play Calendars are available at the Orillia Recreation Centre front desk.
