Description

Description (Service) COVID19 -- closed until further notice due to Covid19 concerns

The Light Library is a program offering the trial use of treatment lamps to patients. Bright Light boxes are available on loan for a two-week period to allow people to test their effectiveness. Patients who experience improvement over the trial period may choose to purchase their own light.

What is Bright Light Therapy?

Bright Light Therapy is a treatment for seasonal affective disorder, depression and certain other conditions. It involves daily exposure to intense levels of artificial light. It is not possible to obtain the light intensities required for effective therapy using regular light fixtures. Bright Light Therapy is also known as phototherapy.

Response to light therapy is usually very quick and most people will notice a marked improvement within one week.
