Description (Service)

Offers social, recreational and therapeutic opportunities for frail elderly as well as individuals experiencing memory loss

seniors who need regular assistance and who are lonely and benefit from socializing with others
participants currently live at home.

The goal is to maintain the patient's optimum level of intellectual, physical and social capability as well as provide respite and support to the family and the caregiver.

Services offered:

gardening
arts, crafts and baking
physically and mentally stimulating exercises

Services for an additional fee and by appointment include

hairdressing
foot care

Transportation to the program

Hours	Tue-Thu 9 am-3:30 pm
Areas Served	Barrie ; Oro-Medonte ; Springwater ; Tay ; Tiny ; Wasaga Beach
Eligibility	Seniors individuals who need regular assistance and who are lonely and benefit from socializing with others participants currently live at home.
Application	Contact Home and Community Care Support Services North Simcoe Muskoka (previously the North Simcoe Muskoka Local Health Integration Network) at 705-721-8010 or 1-888-721-2222 to apply to the Adult Day Programs. A care coordinator will assess the individual's needs to determine eligibility and send the eligible assessment to the Elmvale Adult Day Program

Fees	Service - Day Program - $22 per day ; Fee assistance available for individuals with limited income ; assistance is provided by County of Simcoe.
