Suggesting Updates to Database Listings

When viewing the full details of a community program, you will see the option to 'Suggest Update' just below the name of the organization and program. Clicking this option will allow a user to submit feedback to Community Connection's team of data curators. Users can also select 'Suggest Record' on top menu bar to suggest a new listing.

Description

Description (Service) The Penetanguishene Museum is housed in an 1875 Heritage Building, formerly the C. Beck Lumber office and General Store, showcasing the town's bilingual and Victorian past. The museum displays, documents and artifacts including:

  • the Abinaki and Huron tribes
  • BrulĂ©, Champlain, Rocellet and Jesuit missionaries
  • logging, lumbering and industrial development
  • domestic, pioneer, retail and recreational items and exhibits
  • 1903 Oldsmobile
  • replica of a 1891 Firehall.

    Programming includes:
  • educational programs
  • kinder camps
  • special events
  • a research room, staffed by volunteers, with genealogical information on the local area.

    Also has a gift shop and picnic area near the waterfront and occasional Art Exhibits.
