Suggesting Updates to Database Listings

When viewing the full details of a community program, you will see the option to 'Suggest Update' just below the name of the organization and program. Clicking this option will allow a user to submit feedback to Community Connection's team of data curators. Users can also select 'Suggest Record' on top menu bar to suggest a new listing.

Federal dental care benefit for children

  • based on net family income, tax-free payment of $260, $390, or $650 for each eligible child
  • available for two periods
  • applications open until June 30, 2024 for period from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024
  • maximum of two payments for each eligible child

This benefit is available until June 30, 2024. The program is being phased out and will be replaced by the Canadian Dental Care Plan, see listing number BAR4446.

Eligibility Parents and guardians of children 12 years and under without access to a private dental insurance plan earning $90 000 or less in net family income.

Apply online using CRA My Account or by phone. 

To apply, you will need your:

  • child's dental care provider's name, address, and telephone number
  • child's dental appointment date
  • employer's name, address, and telephone number (if applicable)
  • spouse or common-law partner's employer's name, address, and telephone number (if applicable)

Keep your dental care receipts.
