Description (Service) COVID-19 Response
  • all in-person group programs and workshops are cancelled until further notice
  • some groups are being held virtually, check website or call 705-734-9690 for more updates
  • one-on-one in-person appointments are available and must be made in advance, walk-in appointments are not available
  • requests for appointments will be triaged to determine if the appointment can be handled over the phone, using video technology or if an in-person, face-to-face visit is required
  • for in-person visits all patients will be actively screened for COVID-19 at the time of booking and again on-site at the point of entry for your appointment
  • If you have an in-person appointment scheduled at the BCHC and develop COVID-19 symptoms prior to the day of your appointment, please DO NOT COME TO THE BCHC and call the clinic at 705-734-9690 to inform reception of the change in your health
Primary Care Appointments
  • Call 705-734-9690 to book an appointment with a Physician, Nurse Practitioner or the clinic Nurse
  • for appointments with a Social Worker, Dietitian, Diabetes Educator or Physiotherapist, ask your family physician or nurse practitioner to send a counselling referral on your behalf
  • Social Work - all one-on-one social work counselling appointments will be conducted in person or via virtual appointments, same day appointments are also being provided
  • Physiotherapy - all physiotherapy appointments are available in person or via virtual appointments
  • Dietitian - all appointments will be conducted in person, via phone or video conferencing
  • Diabetes - all appointments will be conducted via phone or in person if requested by the patient
  • Virtual Visits - some appointments are being made available through e-visits OTN or Zoom
  • In person OTN visits are available by scheduling with the receptionist
Regular Service
Supports for people living with prediabetes
  • education and individual appointments to help those who have been diagnosed with a prediabetic condition to learn to lower their risks for developing diabetes
  • registered nurse and dietitian on staff
  • group programs include Kitchen Conversations, Grocery store tours, Fitness for Health and Supervised Walking Program
