Description (Service) Program for vulnerable citizen's that are affected by Alzheimer's and Dementia and those who, due to their cognitive ability, have a tendency to wander * a watch sized tracking device that emits a unique FM radio frequency signal every second is worn by vulnerable residents * caregivers are tasked with daily battery testing to ensure device is operating properly and immediately share vital information with police in case an individual wanders off * batteries and bracelets are changed every 60 days by volunteers with Georgian Bay Volunteer Search and Rescue * all participants are added to the Barrie Police Service’s Vulnerable Person’s Registry
