Suggesting Updates to Database Listings

When viewing the full details of a community program, you will see the option to 'Suggest Update' just below the name of the organization and program. Clicking this option will allow a user to submit feedback to Community Connection's team of data curators. Users can also select 'Suggest Record' on top menu bar to suggest a new listing.

Description (Service)

FM Tracking program for vulnerable individuals who are at risk of wandering. This includes persons living with dementia, autism spectrum disorder, acquired brain injury, or a mental health condition. Program consists of:

  • A watch sized tracking device worn by the vulnerable individual that emits a unique FM radio frequency signal every second
  • Bracelets require daily battery testing to ensure device is operating properly
  • Batteries and bracelet bands require changing every 60 days

The Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County handles the administration of Project Lifesaver. Barrie Police and South Simcoe Police operate the FM responders if a search is required. All participants are added to the Barrie Police/South Simcoe Police Vulnerable Person's registry.
