Suggesting Updates to Database Listings

When viewing the full details of a community program, you will see the option to 'Suggest Update' just below the name of the organization and program. Clicking this option will allow a user to submit feedback to Community Connection's team of data curators. Users can also select 'Suggest Record' on top menu bar to suggest a new listing.

Note: If you can't find a listing or would like to see a list of records by agency or category, email 211data@communityconnection.ca.

Description

Description (Service) Provides a supportive environment where members share their work, offer insights into the work of others, and enhance knowledge to improve their writing skills
  • concentrates on writing fiction, nonfiction and poetry as well as how to market work
  • perform readings and offer critique of work in progress
  • offer monthly workshops
  • recommend contests, books and other opportunities to learn, network and market work
  • produce an Anthology of members' work
Meetings held at Barrie Public Library, downtown branch, 2nd and 4th Mondays 6:30 pm-8:30 pm
  • meet in person or vityually on Skype - email marilyn-lamb@hotmail.com in advance to join virtually
  • 2nd week of the month meetings will offer critique of work. Non-members must register to be critiqued. Drop ins welcome and can be critiqued only if time allows
  • 4th week of the month various topics will be discussed

Service Details

Hours Meetings held at Barrie Public Library, downtown branch, 2nd and 4th Mondays 6:30 pm-8:30 pm, (in person and virtually). Virtual meetings held on alternate Mondays. Runs Sep-Jun, with the exception of holidays.
