Suggesting Updates to Database Listings

When viewing the full details of a community program, you will see the option to 'Suggest Update' just below the name of the organization and program. Clicking this option will allow a user to submit feedback to Community Connection's team of data curators. Users can also select 'Suggest Record' on top menu bar to suggest a new listing.

Description (Service) Program is intended to meet the needs of people with disabilities and help them to become more independent

Public Comments
  • Since Jan 1 2017 Child support payments are now fully exempt from social assistance benefit calculations and clients are no longer required to pursue child support as a condition of eligibility for social assistance
  • Family Benefits and Mother's Allowance programs no longer exist
  • people needing social assistance, including sole support parents, must apply to Ontario Works (OW)
  • residents of Springwater Twp and Oro-Medonte Twp who are applying for Ontario Disability Support Program must apply to Ministry of Community and Social Services, 425 West Street North, Unit 8, Orillia
