Description (Service) March 22, 2020 -COVID-19 Response 
 
No access to 88 Mulcaster Street HUB until further notice * our team will still be providing services via phone or through outreach service to people who cannot access our building 
 
Emergency Shelter 
Shelter operations have moved temporarily into a local motel * Shelter Central Intake Hours: starting at 5 pm, call 705-790-7028 * at the motel staff will be providing 24/7 support and outreach efforts will be increased in the coming days to ensure our homeless population continues to be served, supported and protected through these extremely challenging times. 
 
Outreach Services 
Call 705-790-5654 for outreach services * for individuals living rough Busby staff and volunteers will be providing tent, tarps and sleeping gear when bringing food to their locations through outreach to ensure that people experiencing homelessness can properly self-isolate, as recommended by health officials. 
 
Donations and Volunteer Services 
Donations of breakfast and lunch items for shelter guests as well as donations of toiletries, cleaning supplies needed * Volunteers needed to make meals and other tasks, to volunteer email getconnected@busbycentre.ca for more information 
 
Staff may be onsite at 88 Mulcaster to provide information and direction as well as to accept donations * if you have donations, do not go to 88 Mulcaster without first calling 705-739-6916 or emailing getconnected@busbycentre.ca for more information * please accept our apologies in advance if you are not getting through on the phone line as we have been receiving a higher number of calls then usual 
 
 
Regular Service 
Community organization working from a non-judgmental approach to advocate for and improve conditions for individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness * services include Housing Support Services * Emergency Shelter * Breakfast Program * Housing Engagement and Response Team (HEART) * Case Management * Basic needs * Administrative support (assistance with form filling, obtaining ID, etc) * Phone and Mail Services (can use phone number and address of David Busby Centre as a contact point for people with no permanent address or phone) * Year round Income Tax Clinics * Addiction Support * Infant/Baby Needs and Supplies (diapers, formula and food, depending on donations) * Harm Reduction Program * Referral Services * Mobile Outreach Service 
 
Rapid Hep C testing Wednesdays 1 pm-3 pm
