Description (Service) Approximately 300-member club offering courses and trips for adults and children 
BCKC Membership includes: 
  • Opportunity to participate in: 
    - Paddle Nights (for members only) - Usually Monday and Wednesday evenings  
    during June, July, and August. Due to COVID-19, dates subject to change 
    - Courses and Clinics (additional costs may apply) 
    - Day Trips (additional costs may apply)  
    - Overnight trips (additional costs may apply)  
  • Use of BCKC equipment during BCKC activities: 
    - Canoes, Kayaks, Stand Up Paddleboards (SUP's) 
    - Personal Flotation Devices (PFD's) and safety equipment  
    - Paddles 
  • A Reduced Rate for BCKC Clinics and Courses 
  • All members receive a Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Area Parking Pass 
  • Non-Barrie Residents receive a Southshore Centre Parking Pass  
  • Winter Activities - cross country skiing and snowshoeing
 
*Note: BCKC equipment is not available for personal use. Personal boats or other equipment cannot be stored at their boathouse. Can be available to special interest groups. Email info@bckc.ca for information.

Hours Sep-May General meetings include guest speakers and are open to the public.

Meet the second Mon of every month at 7 pm at Southshore Community Centre. Due to COVID-19, meetings are virtual. Check website to confirm meeting dates/times and venue.

Jun-Sep Mon and Wed Paddle Nights (for members only) from 6:30 pm to dusk, weather permitting.

Eligibility No restrictions; open to all ages; Adult, Adult Couple, Student (full-time), Senior, and Senior Couple memberships available.
  • Couple memberships are available to married or common-law partners living at the same address
  • Children (under 18 years old and related to the BCKC member) can be added to any membership at no additional cost
