Suggesting Updates to Database Listings

When viewing the full details of a community program, you will see the option to 'Suggest Update' just below the name of the organization and program. Clicking this option will allow a user to submit feedback to Community Connection's team of data curators. Users can also select 'Suggest Record' on top menu bar to suggest a new listing.

Note: If you can't find a listing or would like to see a list of records by agency or category, email 211data@communityconnection.ca.

Description

Description (Service) Alcoholics Anonymous provides a community outreach service that allows men and women to share experiences and to assist each other in recovering from alcoholism

Services include:
  • self help meetings
  • information, pamphlets, displays
  • public speakers and presentations to hospitals, schools and institutions
  • Barrie and Area Intergroup Answering Service provides information on all AA meetings in Central Ontario
  • Barrie office open for literature pick-up, call ahead
Regular meetings and 12-step meeting are for recovering alcoholics only (closed meetings).
